Fort Manoel Open Day attracts over 3,000 visitors
Over 3,000 visitors gathered at Fort Manoel for a wonderful chance to explore the Fort Manoel’s impressive restoration and its historical beauty. Visitors were also treated to four complimentary guided tours, offering insight into the fort’s significance as a shining example of Malta’s baroque military architecture.

During the open day, MIDI also set up a static display which highlighted how the Manoel Island development project will blend history, large open spaces together with residential and mixed-use development. Overall, the Manoel Island project will boast a total of 175,000sqm of public open spaces or 60% of MIDI’s concession, of which 80,000 is the natural glacis park. The development also contemplates that the footprint of the new buildings has been scaled down to cover 8% of MIDI concession.
